$42 Million Jury Award – Poor Bodyshop Repair Job

Roberts Wilson, P.A. | October 4, 2017

Just one more reminder about why it is so important to have all car wrecks involving serious injuries or death investigated by an attorney who is familiar with defective vehicle safety features. You want to be sure safety features performed as designed and whether or not the injuries were worse than they should have been.

In this Texas case, a jury awarded a family over $42 Million in a case against a bodyshop because the shoddy work performed, which failed to follow the OEM manual (original equipment manufacturer manual), was a significant factor in making this crash a lot worse than it would have been if the body shop had followed the OEM.

In this crash, because they used bondo instead of what the Manufacturer called for, the distribution of energy from the impact was misdirected and substantially more deadly than it would have been.

If you or a loved one has been seriously injured or killed in an automobile or truck wreck, ALWAYS, get advice from an attorney experienced with defective automobile safety features to make sure the vehicles involved behaved like it was Supposed to.

Other examples of vehicle safety feature failures are: airbag failures, tire failures, roof-crush, ignition switch or brake failures. All these and many other safety features can and do fail and can make car and truck wrecks less survivable. Visit us on the web at www.CallWilson.com or dial 662-533-9111.
