Among the chemicals contained in Hair Relaxer Products is a known carcinogen called Di-2 ethyl hexyl phthalate (DEHP) which is a very toxic chemical.   This chemical is associated with an increased risk of developing various cancers and conditions.

The hair straightener products also contain endocrine disrupting chemicals referred to as (EDCs).  When your endocrine system is disrupted, it can lead t numerous health problems including cancer and other dangerous conditions. According to Endocrine.org, “EDCs can disrupt many different hormones, which is why they have been linked to numerous adverse human health outcomes including alterations in sperm quality and fertility, abnormalities in sex organs, endometriosis, early puberty, altered nervous system function, immune function, certain cancers, respiratory problems, metabolic issues, diabetes, cardiovascular disease, growth, neurological and learning disabilities, and more.”  To learn more about EDCs, visit Endocrine.org linked here.
